Our Origin
FIFTH SPACE BEGAN WITH A HARD PROBLEM
We formed to take on a 29-acre waterfront site in San Francisco with extraordinary potential but significant challenges. In less than a decade, we secured unanimous approvals for Power Station, rebuilt its infrastructure, and began building on a site that had been closed to the public for more than 160 years.
Today, we are delivering a new district on the waterfront.
Workplaces for innovators and entrepreneurs. Essential housing for people across incomes. Parks and public spaces along the bay. Civic places that bring communities together. Power Station is our proving ground.
Now, we’re taking what we learned there and applying it to new challenges and spaces.
